Meet David J. Linden, PhD

David J. Linden, PhD is a professor of neuroscience at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He studies the cellular substrates of memory storage, recovery of function after brain injury, and the molecular basis of addiction among other topics. He has written three books on neuroscience for general audiences, The Accidental Mind (2007), The Compass of Pleasure (2011), and Touch: The Science of the Hand, Heart, and Mind (2016). He is also the editor of Think Tank (2018), a collection of 40 essays from leading neuroscientists on the biology behind the human experience.
