Thanks to loud concerts and modern conveniences like personal earbuds, a growing number of young adults and children experiences hearing difficulties. Even moderate levels of noise can destroy synapses in the cochlea and lead to significant hearing impairments that cant be detected on standard clinical hearing tests, giving rise to whats referred to as hidden hearing loss.
