Epilepsy is a spectrum of seizure inducing brain disorders. In short, an overabundance of electrical activity in the brain disturbs normal neuronal activity leading to repeated seizures. Therapies for epilepsy include medications or surgical procedures. However, research has shown that diets high in fat and low in carbohydrates can reduce the frequency of epileptic seizures.
