Levi Gadye is the health and science writer for UCSF's School of Pharmacy. He earned his PhD in Neuroscience from UC Berkeley, studying how the nose regrows its sensory neurons.  He once led a sheep brain dissection inside San Quentin State Prison, capping off a college-level neuroscience course that he taught with the Prison University Project. His favorite place to be, no matter the season, is the Sierra Nevada mountains.
