Taking the Time for Mental Health

Imagine out of nowhere you’re suddenly out of breath, you’re lightheaded, and you feel like you’re having a heart attack. You may be experiencing a panic attack. People with panic disorder experience these symptoms in attacks that usually last about 10 minutes. We don’t know whether the physical symptoms cause the fear, or the fear causes the symptoms.

Various external and internal life factors affect our mental health, and multiple types of mental disorders can disrupt it as well. For this reason, it’s important to pay attention to our mental health and to understand how the brain is involved.
