The German Primate Center is home to around 1300 non-human primates, including rhesus macaques and lemurs.

Given their close similarities to people, these animals are ideal models for studying the complex primate brain. But they also require special care — a proper diet, space to run and climb, and an environment that is socially and mentally stimulating.

Learn how the scientists and veterinarians at the German Primate Center raise and care for their animals in this virtual tour.
