Sensitivity to light and sound, nausea, and vomiting — migraines are much more than a bad headache. Researchers have found migraine sufferers experience and respond to pain differently than those who do not suffer from the debilitating headaches. Some research suggest migraines can impact the thickness of the brain’s cortex, but more research is needed to determine the neurological differences associated with migraines.
