This January, the Society for Neuroscience hosted Global Connectome: A Virtual Event, to facilitate scientific exchange across the globe. The conference, held January 11-13, highlighted new and exciting neuroscience research. From pinpointing the fear of heights in the brain to revealing how an overactive brainstem during sleep disrupts memory, scientists shed more light on the innerworkings of the brain.
