The US BRAIN Initiative is producing vast amounts of data — from neurons’ genetic blueprints to the neural codes underlying complex movements. To make sense of all that data, the National Institutes of Health funds efforts by scientists like Owen White, Associate Director of the Institute for Genome Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. White is building the Neuroscience Multi-Omic (NEMO) Archive to store and disseminate genomics data coming out of the BRAIN Initiative.
